Each story is built the way the best educational fiction always has been — a character meets something curious or goes wrong, works through it, and along the way, real AI vocabulary gets woven naturally into the plot. It’s the same tradition as classic concept stories, applied to a subject nobody’s written this way before: AI literacy for young children.

Read-Aloud Imagination Fiction

Every story is deliberately image-free. That’s not a missing feature — it places these stories in the older tradition of oral storytelling and read-aloud fiction, where the listener, not an illustrator, builds the picture. The Story-Spark images only appear afterward, as a spark for comparison, never as the “right answer.”

How the Two Story-Spark Images Work

After the story, show your child the first image and ask them to connect it back to what they just heard — retelling the story in their own words, or describing how they’d picture that moment. Then reveal the second image, a new and different scene, and invite your child to invent an entirely new story around it.

This simple two-step routine is designed around three goals at once:

1. Memory & storytelling — recalling and retelling the story they just heard strengthens memory, and the skill of shaping a narrative.

2. Imagination & creativity — the second image is deliberately new and unfamiliar, asking your child to invent something original rather than simply remember.

3. Communication & expression — the back-and-forth conversation with a parent, describing and explaining what they picture, builds real communication skill.

Character & Ethics Fiction (from Volume 3 onward)

Starting in Volume 3, the stories shift from “how does this work?” to “is this fair, and what should we do?” — the same narrative tradition used in books written to build empathy and ethical reasoning, not just knowledge.
