Story 2: Mina and the Cookie Algorithm
Kitchen — baking cookies · 8 words one per day · AI Pre-Literacy
1. Story — Text-Based (Day 1-2: Imagination Studio)
Read this with NO pictures first. Child becomes illustrator.
Mina loved cookies. Today she and robot Bleep baked cookies in kitchen.
Grandma’s recipe was Algorithm — step-by-step list: first mix flour, then add sugar, then add chocolate chips, then bake.
Bleep collected Data — how many cookies, how big, how long to bake. Data are small pieces of information.
Bleep’s Sensor felt warm oven. Battery full, so Bleep could help roll dough.
Mina made Pattern — one chip, then space, then chip, then space — repeats same way.
Oven talked through Network — like friends holding hands far away — to tell Bleep when ready.
Bleep saved recipe to Cloud and later Downloaded it — got it back from Cloud to device. Yummy!

Top of Image 1 — This is what you just read, now you can see it.

3. What is the purpose of this Image 1?
Direct resemblance to cookie baking text. Shows Mina in kitchen with small robot Bleep at table with flour, dough, chocolate chips, cookie tray. Oven warm in background, kitchen shelf with ingredients. Girl adding chips in Pattern — chip, space, chip. Robot helping roll dough with full Battery indicator.
Use Day 3-4: Day 3-4: Where is Algorithm? Point to recipe steps first mix, then add, then bake. Where is Sensor feeling warm? Where is Pattern of chips? What Data counting?

Garden ants carrying leaves in Pattern line, network of ants holding hands far away, carrying Data
Use Day 5: This image does NOT happen in kitchen cookie text. Shows garden ants carrying leaves in a line — one, then another, then another — Pattern that repeats, like Network friends holding hands far away, carrying Data. Day 5 Creator: Ants have Algorithm too!
Wonder Algorithm — text first (imagine) → Image 1 anchor (confirm) → Words → Quiz → Image 2 creator (invent).
