1. Story — Text-Based (Day 1-2: Imagination Studio)
Read this with NO pictures first. Child becomes illustrator.
Today Leo and Pip went to the market. “Mum gave us a list,” said Leo. “Three apples for our picnic.”
The market was busy. Red apples. Yellow bananas. Green pears. The vendor smiled under the striped awning.
Pip pushed a Trolley — a little cart with wheels. “Trolley carries our shopping,” said Pip. “Push, push, push.”
Leo picked three shiny apples. Each apple had a small white square on it — a Barcode. “Barcode is a secret code,” said Pip. “It tells the machine what this apple is.”
At the checkout, the vendor held each apple near a small machine. Beep! Beep! Beep!
“That’s the Scanner,” said the vendor. “Scanner reads the Barcode.”
“How much?” asked Leo.
“Ten,” said the vendor. “Tap here.” A little screen glowed on the counter — the Card Reader. Leo tapped Mum’s card. Beep! “All paid,” said the vendor.
“Now for the bus,” said Pip. “The bus will take us to the park.”
They walked to the bus stop. On a sign, Leo saw a square of black-and-white dots — a QR Code. “QR Code is like a Barcode,” said Pip, “but it holds more.”
Pip scanned the QR Code with its Camera. “Now I know the bus Route — the path the bus takes. And the Timetable — when the bus comes.”
“Three minutes!” said Leo. “We have time.”
They waited. And waited.
“Four minutes,” said Pip. “The bus is late.”
“Now what?” said Leo.
Whirrrr. Something flew overhead. It was a small machine with four spinning wings — a Delivery Drone. Underneath it, a little box.
“Drone!” said Leo. “Where does it go?”
“To someone’s house,” said Pip. “Drones deliver things. They follow their own Route.”
Then — vroom. The bus! It stopped at the bus stop, and Leo and Pip climbed on with the Trolley.
At the park, they sat on a blanket. Leo opened the bag. Three apples, red and shiny.
“Picnic!” said Leo.
They ate the apples. Pip charged in the warm sun. Far away, another Delivery Drone flew past, carrying another little box.
“What do you think is inside?” asked Pip.
“I don’t know,” said Leo. “But I hope it’s something good.”
Even smart helpers love a busy market — and a good friend.

Top of Image 1 — This is what you just read, now you can see it.
3. What is the purpose of this Image 1?
Direct resemblance to Story 5 text — OUTSIDE. Shows a sunny fruit market stall with a striped red-and-blue awning, wooden crates of apples (red), bananas (yellow), pears (green). The vendor stands behind the stall with a Scanner in hand, mid-beep. A Barcode is visible on a bag of apples. A Trolley sits at the side of the stall. A small bus stop sign is in the background. Sunny day, outdoor life.
Use Day 3-4: Point and name Day 3-4: Where is the Barcode on the apple? Where is the Scanner beeping? Where is the Trolley? Can you find the bus stop sign in the background? What is the sun doing? Child confirms imagination.
