Story 7: The Honest Tablet That Says I Don’t Know

Garden lab — honesty and uncertainty day · 8 words one per day · AI Pre-Literacy

1. Story — Text-Based (Day 1-2: Imagination Studio)

Read this with NO pictures first. Child becomes illustrator.

Lina brings a new leaf. It is curly and tiny. Not mango, not neem.

The tablet looks. It is unsure. Unsure means not certain — “Hmm, I am not sure.”

Yesterday with mango leaf, it was sure. Sure means very certain — “I know this!”

For mango leaf it can say, “I know.” Know means I have answer — “MANGO!”

For curly tiny leaf, it says, “I don’t know.” Don’t know means I need help, I am being honest.

That is honest. Honest means telling truth about unsure — not guessing.

When unsure, it asks for help. Help means asking human — “Can you tell me?”

Lina says, “Thank you for being honest. Now I can trust you more.” Trust means believing because honest.

Omar smiles, “Now we can learn together.” Learn means learning new leaf together — curly is TAMARIND!
