1. Story (Days 1–2): Read the text with no pictures

Lina, eight — now one inch taller than Story 1 — blonde curly hair yellow bows blue overalls yellow shirt round glasses, and Umar, nine — now two inches taller than Story 1, noticeably taller than Lina — brown hair green shirt green glasses, peek into the Smart Garage where a shiny white car sits with no driver inside.

It is a Self-Driving Car, a car that drives itself, also called Autonomous Vehicle because it is autonomous.

On its roof spins a magic eye called Lidar that shoots light to measure distance.

The car sees the world with cameras — this seeing is called Computer Vision.

It mixes Lidar and cameras and maps together — mixing many sensors is Sensor Fusion.

The car thinks right inside itself, not in the cloud — thinking on the edge is Edge AI.

It guesses what will happen next, like a ball rolling to street — guessing future is Predictive AI.

It also sorts what it sees — this is a person, this is a stop sign — sorting is Discriminative AI.

It parks itself perfectly between lines — that trick is Auto-Parking.

And it stays inside its lane — staying in lane is Lane Keeping.
