Story 3: The Garden Tester Who Checks Fairly

1. Story — Text-Based (Day 1-2: Imagination Studio)
Read this with NO pictures first. Child becomes illustrator.
Lina and Omar taught the tablet to sort leaves. Now they need to test it. Test means trying with new leaves it has never seen.
Omar brings new leaves from another tree. “These are not from training,” he says.
The tablet looks. It will check each leaf. Check means looking carefully if right or wrong.
Lina counts. Three right, one wrong. That is accuracy. Accuracy is how many it got correct.
But Lina notices something. It gets mango leaves right, but neem leaves wrong always. “That is not fair,” she says. Fair means same help for everyone.
Omar says, “It has bias. Bias is when it likes one side too much — it likes mango more than neem.”
“We need balance,” says Lina. Balance means making it fair for all — same number of mango and neem examples.
They add more neem leaves to training and test again. Now it is more fair.
“We should share what it does,” says Omar. Share means telling others what it does and does not do well.
Lina nods, “And we must use it with care. Care means using kindly and watching if it is fair.”
